All this Media..... It's a FRENZY!

I saw an eight year old with a cell phone the other day... an eight year old! I mean come on folks, hasn't this gotten just a little out of hand? Don't we have enough cable network news, reality shows, blackberries, and commrcials? I wish we could all remeber what life was like before we all started going twittercrazy! I mean, eventually the last of the old-school people will die leaving only the next generation to carry the world and I fear it will be left behind in lew of a videogame needing beating or a television show needing watching. Not that it's all the youths fault if even at all, isn't after all the job of the parent or gaurdian to control what forms of media are allowed to be used or patronized by young people? This drives me completly insane! How long before the 1984-esque nightmare of barcoding and tracking each and every member of the "world community" becomes a harsh reality? ALOT of ?'s this week people....... Keep in mind that as reliant as I or any one of us are.... it's been allowed to get this far by an inherent laziness that will eventually undo us all.
